I’ve been kind of excited this week. My birthday is today and my weekly art club is going to celebrate with me on Thursday. We have a tradition of taking the birthday girl out for lunch. Yummy! I even get to pick the restaurant. I’ve been happily looking forward to this.

All my glee came to a screeching halt this evening when my son asked me, “Whose going to make your crown?”

You see, we also have a tradition of making a crown for the Birthday Girl and then making her wear it the entire time we are at the restaurant. I had forgotten that little bit of the fun. And guess what I did? I picked a buffet so I will have to get up and walk around the place in my crown.

There is hope… I’ve been the official crown maker so maybe, just maybe, no one will remember to make one for me!

Just in case they do I’ve decided to take them down with me… these are photos of all the girls in their crowns. (Billie flat out refused to wear anything on her head so I made her a necklace crown.)

Actually, I am not as concerned as I sound. It’s all in fun. I hope I can look half as beautiful as they did in their Birthday Crowns!

Thanks pal for showing me in my “crown” and since I was the first “stooge” to get one, I’ll have you know I still wear it once and awhile (around the house as I’m cleaning and when no one else is around that is).

Happy Birthday dear one - have a fun filled hilarious day. Love ya.

I am such a dummy. I forgot to bring my camera. Two of the girls had cameras so we did get pictures. I just have to wait for them to email them to me and then I will share them with you. :) It was a fun day and I’ll write more once I have the photos to share.
