Wilma. That is what I’m calling her. She must be alive because she grows day by day, reaching out her tentacles onto every shelf and flat surface in the room. One tentacle has even snaked it’s way down to the space under my work table. Her main body has completely covered my work table. Wilma is enormous!
She is made from all the bits left over from my creative adventures. She is fed by all the new treasures that I bring home. This was a good week for Wilma. I found several discounted clearance items at Michael’s. Wilma devoured the small books, coasters and frames in one big gulp. There was a trip to Xpedx that brought her some wonderful card stock and inks.. gulp. I thought my treasures from the 75% off dollar spot at Target would be too much for her but she just chomped down on them. With every tidbit her girth grew. It grew so much that I couldn’t find room to work anymore. This is truly amazing because I usually end up working in a little space that is about 9×12 inches.
Something must be done about Wilma so I’m turning up my tunes and heading into battle. If you don’t hear from me for a day or two don’t worry. It’s going to be a long war and after my victory I’ll need to find new locations for the prisoners of war. If you don’t hear from me for several day call in the Army!
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!
