How well do you know your muse? I’ve been reading the blog of Artistgirl’s Muse and she asked the questions, “When did your muse make its first appearance? Do you know what your muse looks like? What sex is your muse?” I kind of know the answers but even so the questions have been ringing in my ears all day. I know that they won’t go away until I address them.

I don’t know for sure when she showed up. Yes, I am sure she is a she. When she is here I feel her gentle and maternal presence. I think she has always been here. The tough question was what she looked like. I know she has auburn hair that flows freely and in all directions. I know she has a smirking smile… I can feel it… but what else? I decided to pick up a pencil and see if I could sort that out. What you see here is what I discovered. Apparently she is shy and likes to hide behind my hands. I wish I was a better artist so you could see how truly beautiful she really is. I’m not sure but I think her name is Ruby.
