I’m sitting here working on some art projects and it occurred to me that I am paying just as much attention to the tunes coming from my computer speakers as I am to what my hands are doing with the paper and glue. For me music has always been the heartbeat of life.. from the morning chirps of the birds to the piano chords of “I Feel the Earth Move”. I don’t know if I could create in a totally quiet environment. I need the sounds of life to wake up Ruby.
Remember the contest is still running until the 20th. Your odds are pretty good.. as I write this there are only 11 names going into the bag.
Ooooo.. Skylark’s Wildflower just started playing… I haven’t heard that one in a long time… hmmm… that puts me in the mood for some colorful paper accents….
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!

I’m right there with you on music - I always have something going. One of my favorite quotes:
“Always keep a song in your heart - it’s like karaoke for the voices in your head”
- Robert Fulton Abernethy

I can’t work without music! It’s extremely inspiring and energizes all of my senses. Sometimes I forget I’m not alone in my office and even though I have my headphones on, I catch myself singing outloud. Fortunately my office mate has a good sense of humor and chimes in “I remember that song!” Oops. Hey, Carole King isn’t Oldies….well, I guess the 70’s were a while ago. - Elise

Look who crawled out of the woodwork! Nice to see you here Elise.
I know what you’re saying about the oldies not being so old.. where did the years go? I’m listening to Billy Idol, “Dancing with Myself”. It doesn’t seem old to me… then I remember the last time I saw him on tv (about a year ago???) and what he looked like… yup.. the years have been rolling by.
I heard you got a new book today… have fun!
