I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me. In honor of my newly decorated blog I am hosting a contest for bloggers. The prize for this contest will be a $5 gift card for Target.
Here is how it is going to work: From now until midnight (Pacific time) on August 4th you can post a reply to this post including the URL for your blog. (Yes folks, you do need a blog in order to participate in this one.) Feel free to share a description of your blog if you want to. When you post your URL I will toss your name into my big white bag of fun. At the end of the contest I will draw out one name and send that person the gift card.
But wait, there�s more! If you have already entered with your own blog, you can also earn extra chances for the prize by sending your friends here to tell about their blogs. All they have to do is tell me who referred them in the reply with their own entry. Then I�ll add their name to the bag as well as another piece of paper with your name on it. There is no limit to how many referral entries you can earn.
I�m going to keep this family friendly so if any �adult only� blogs get posted I�ll delete the reply and disqualify the poster. Other than that, any type of blog can be posted.
For people without blogs (and those that have them), be sure to check out the blogs that get posted in the replies. I�ll be visiting them and taking notes. Later, I’ll use those notes for another contest. It might be in your best interest to know who made the card with the big purple flower or who blogs about their garden.
To make this as easy as possible I�ve changed the setting to allow posting without being a registered member of my blog. I�ll leave it this way for the duration of the contest. I’ll also turn this post into a sticky note so that it stays on top and is easy to find.

Yay! A contest! I love contests. I have a blog at http://anodynedesign.blogspot.com. It’s about sewing, recipes, books, and whatever else I feel like writing about. I started it to complement the things I’ve been making for Etsy. I’ll spread the word about the contest to my blogging friends…
