Today is the sale day at Art Unraveled. This is always a fun experience where you not only get to shop but you have a chance to meet many of the stamping and art world’s “stars”. It is also a great opportunity to be inspired. There are so many samples to look at and new supplies to discover.
The card above is one I made this week while playing at a friend’s house. The image is an old clipart that I copied onto a sheet of overhead transparency. I dabbed alcohol inks on the back of it then attached it to a piece of white cardstock with some gel medium. I didn’t have any metallic cardstock with me so I used a copper Krylon pen on a piece of white glossy cardstock. It didn’t scan as well as I would have liked but it has kind of a hammered, distressed look to it. I got that look by pouncing the copper color on rather than drawing it.
I’m off to Art Unraveled now. Hopefully I’ll find some wonderful things to share with you tomorrow.
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!

Ooh, love the colors on this! Great idea to create a “hammered” look. Gonna have to give this a try!
