Wendy wanted to see some of my bead stash so I think I’ll start by sharing the beads that I bought at the sale last week. It’s pure laziness on my part because I haven’t put them away yet so it is much easier to scan them than to dig out some of the old ones right now.
In the first photo are some that I picked out of the bulk bin. I could have just stood there running my fingers through all those beads for hours. I was a little afraid to start picking out any to purchase because they are sold by the gram and I had no idea how much a gram was. A nice lady who was there shopping tried to help me out by telling me how many grams were in an ounce but I now know that she was very wrong. At least she had a guess, that was better than I was doing. BTW, Google tells me that 1 ounce = 28.3495231 grams. My little assortmentweighed in at 16 grams and cost me a whopping $1.28. Next time I won’t be so skittish about buying from the bulk bin.

The second photo is of three strands I picked out. The little gold ones cost me $1.50 and the other two were $3.00 each. I have a grand illusion of making a necklace using these beads. Here is your chance to prove that people are actually reading this dribble… leave a comment telling me if you think I’ll actually get around to making that necklace. I’ll enter everyone who comments on this post into a drawing for a small bag of beads. There will be at least 16 grams of beads in the prize bag and probably more. I’ll draw the winning name Monday night.
I’m off to the Bazzill warehouse sale today.
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!

It would make a pretty necklace, but you’d better give the beads to someone else if you really want a necklace. Lol!!!!
I especially like the translucent stripe in the white ones.

I think you’ll eventually make a necklace… but it might take more than a year to get around to it.

I am a “bead head” (let’s start a new moniker!) too! But I don’t have gazillions, just a small box full. I use mine to make hatpins to sell at Merchant Square. Got a bunch of vintage hatpin pins that I glue the beads to — got some pretty ones!

I think you’ll make the necklace - just because you’ve officially notified the world of your intentions (at least that’s how I seem to operate!)
And I had no idea that Bazzill had a warehouse sale… but now I’m insanely jealous that I’m not there.
[BTW - I’m removing myself from the bead draw. I already have more than enough of my own waiting to be transformed into a cool project! :)]

I think that the only way you will be using those beads is if you are forced into taking beading lessons from a good friend.
