I’ve been having a great time searching out inspiration on the internet for my cards. So far I’ve come up with four different designs. I’ve decided to make all of them and let people select their favorite to trade for. It’s been so much fun working with a variety of designs that I decided to seek out a little more inspiration in the hope that it would lead to yet another card.
This time I went to my 25 year old son for inspiration and asked him, “What do you think of when I say 1950’s?” He said, “Hydrogen Bomb.”
Is it because he is a guy or because he is 25? My mind was filled with Sock Hops, Dive-ins, and Elvis Presley and he comes up with “Hydrogen Bomb.” Sobering.

I think it’s because of the particular person you asked. He’s sobering. (And yet an excellent wine drinker. We’re going to Kokopelli this winter, want to come?)

When I thinks 50s I think poodle skirts, ponytails, saddle oxfords & penny loafers, Chevy Bel-Airs & Pink Cadillacs.

I too was thinking of a time that was more relaxed and happy, less worries, etc. until I saw that Justin said - what a wake up call!!! Guess I have to ask my boys and see what they say. Funny how my mind just remembers the good things but think I like living in my dream world better.
