I thought you might like to see some of the stamps I purchased at the Stamp Convention and Xpedx this past weekend. These are some of my favorites:
These little birds from Hero Arts first caught my eye about two weeks ago while I was shopping at Xpedx. It was one of those tug-of-war things where I stood there having a debate with myself about spending the money just because they were cute or waiting to buy something until if I knew what I was going to do with it. I lost the first debate but not the second one! I saw them being used in one of the Make & Takes and something in me just snapped. No way was I going to let all those people at the Make & Take table be the only ones having fun with my little darlings. I raced over to the shelf and snatched up a set.

This set is from Stampendous. Yep, something else that was used in a Make & Take. Gee, do you think they know how much money those Make & Takes are making us spend? The only other things I picked up at Xpedx was a box of green envelopes (half off!) and some sheets of purple confetti cardstock. The confetti line is being discontinued so I thought I should stock up on the purple before it is gone.

These two images are from Carmen’s Veranda. The company owner, Elaine Madrid, use to be half of the Museum of Modern Rubber. They were one of my first favorite stamp companies. It’s nice to see her around and still selling great images. She had a display board with oddles of samples made with the little shrine stamp (it is about the size of a match box). Did I mention that display boards have the same side effect as Make & Takes? My friend, Billie, and I both fell under the spell of the display board.

These beauties are from Lost Coast Designs. I’m thinking they will make good bodies for little paper dolls. I also picked up a film strip stamp at this booth. Considering how many fantastic images they have I think I did a very good job hanging on to my money there.
It was great to see so many familiar faces at the sales, many that I haven’t seen in months or years! Several of you mentioned that you are regular visitors to my blog. Hello! I would have greeted you sooner but I didn’t know you were here.

A couple of you are new to blogging and asked how to go about posting a comment. Here is a step by step, just for you: At the bottom of each post you will either see “No Comments” or the word “Comments” preceded by a number. (The number tells how many comments there already are.) Click on this and a new page will load, showing the original post (and any comments already posted) as well as a comment editing box at the bottom. Fill in the blanks with a name and email address then type your comments in the large empty box. You don’t need to enter a website address but the software requires an email address. At the bottom you will see “Check here to receive email notification of new comments on this entry” with a little check box in front of it. If you check this an email will be sent to you each time someone else posts a comment on this post. This is a great way to keep up with an ongoing conversation. When you are all done just click on “submit” and you are done. If this is your first time commenting your comment won’t show up right away. It will go into a holding folder to wait for my approval. This is a safety step to cut down on spam. After you have had one comment approved all future comments will post immediately.
