I don’t have a lot to write about today so I’ll post the before and after pictures of the new paint job for the two three of you that care. It looks good, as good as brown can.

As long as I’m posting pictures of the house I may as well share a couple of yard photos. The first one is a plant growing in the side yard. I’m not exactly sure what type it is. We got it from a neighbor’s yard in trade for some of our plants that had gone wild. Right now I’m calling it the giant asparagus. It really looks like a stalk of asparagus. The long hot summer has caused a lot of things to bloom for the first time in our yard. The second picture is of our Clementine tree. We had to tie the branch back so the painter could do his thing. It’s loaded with fruit and will soon be ready for picking. We always have more fruit than we can use so I’ve already been lining up friends who will take some of it.

I’ll try to make tomorrow’s post a little more entertaining. We are going to be putting up our outside Christmas lights so maybe I’ll get an action shot of Recliner Man falling off a ladder. He just told me that we have to get up early tomorrow because he wants to get it done before it gets too hot out there. Sheesh, my sister in Nebraska just had snow and here in Arizona we are still worrying about getting things done before the day heats up. I don’t care how long I live here, that will always seem crazy to me.
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!

You should find some recipes that call for clementines…

The new paint looks great. I am so jealous of your Clementine tree! I just bought a bag for $5 and half of them were all sour and dry…. Have you ever made Clementine marmalade, I had some from Spain one year in a tiny jar that was wonderful.

Well, don’t I feel foolish. I never thought about a recipe for citrus. Duh… The marmalade sounds good. Maybe I’ll try making some this winter. Too bad you don’t live closer, Wendy. I’d give you some of the fruit. It’s a bit heavy to mail to you. Shannon, it should be ripe enough to send some home with you.

Well, we should look for some recipes, and maybe we can make some together while I’m home.

Oh, heaven! Someone just asked me what my favorite things about winter are - ugh, winter! - but first on my list ended up being Clementines! No trees in these parts, but at least the crates are available (Spanish) and down to 3.99 for five pounds..plus I love the crates for storing my stamps and such. I’ve got oodles of them and happy about the more I know I’m getting now! lol!
Plus..I am amazed at how wonderful your house looks, ‘just’ going from brown to brown. Love how the contrasting trim tailors it. Now, what to do with ours..?!
