A Christmas Story

Christmas isn’t just about Prayer Bars and Aebelskivers for Recliner Man. It is also about two of his favorite movies, It’s A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story.

This year is was also about getting the perfect gift. Our daughter and son-in-law gave him a big brown box. On one side it was marked “Fragile”. That’s Fra-GEE-Lee for all you Christmas Story fans. Uh-huh, I’ll bet you know what’s coming… maybe a bowling alley or some other major award! (For all you non Christmas Story fans - you really need to watch the movie!)

Oh! What can it be?

Up until this point he had no clue and wasn’t even thinking about A Christmas Story. Once he saw the lampshade it was all he could do not to fall over in laughter.

He is having way too much fun now.

“Would you look at that!”

“Well, it’s… A leg, you know, like a statue.” I know the perfect place for it… no, not in the middle of the front window.

LOL. My husband loves that movie. I bought him a copy our 1st or 2nd Christmas.

Where did they find that lamp? I need to got search the internet for that one. DH would be so surprised to get that next Christmas.

It looks like a great deal, and much safer than a Red Ryder BB gun.. you can shoot your eye out with those things! LOL

That *is* a great deal! We bought Recliner Man’s through Amazon, and it cost more.

Well, it looks like they might be cheaper now that it is past Christmas, plus that is before shipping.
