Recently some one sent me a link to this website. It’s photos from inside a hoarder’s home. I found the photos to be shocking and at the same time very familiar. There is a hoarder in my family too.

Just in case you are wondering, that is NOT my home.
Did you know that Fairfax County Virgina has a Hoarding Task force and a website to deal with this as a public health and safety issue? I was a bit surprised by all of this and it has been making me think about all of my “stash”.

The last thing I want is to become a hoarder so I’ve decided that it is time to weed out some of my craft supplies. I’m going to be working harder on using some of the “some day” treasures and looking for new homes for others.
Tomorrow I will announce the first step in my plan to thin the stash. It’s a chance for you to play and help me out at the same time!
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!

That messy room is scary, but I have seen worse! Compared to some estate sales I’ve seen, this is comparatively neat!
We lived in Fairfax County for 14 years. Didn’t know they had a hoarding task force! You learn something every day!!
