A bulb burned out in the laundry room which caused me to look up at the fixture.
There was a strange shadow in the fixture which caused me to call for Recliner Man Bug Man.
I am sooooo glad I know Bug Man! These scorpions totally creep me out. I didn’t want to be within five feet of that fixture when he took it down and changed the bulb for me.

Imagine the woderful moment of being barely awake and fininding one in your shower! Ick. Did you know that they’re close relatives of spiders? Double Ick.
That’s one positive about Nebraska…. no scorpions.

Yep! They’re related to spiders! Class Arachnida — isn’t the internet wonderful! However, I hope I never see one in my house under any circumstances! I would leave until my “bug man” could assure me that they are gone or all dead gone. They rank right up there with crickets! Hate them all! Also, don’t buy deep pile rugs! They will hide in the pile — my decorator told me that one!! Yeewww!

Oh my gosh! The thought of them taking up residence in a shag carpet gives me the heebie geebies. I don’t even want to think of all the places they may be hiding. Our new cat is a frisky little gal so I am hoping she will be a good scorpion hunter.
