I’m jumping the gun a bit on this recommendation because I haven’t gotten this book for myself yet. I plan to get it just as soon as I can though.
You all know that I am a very big fan of MaryJo McGraw, right? Well, I was just looking at her blog and saw her recommendation for this book. She said, “The best book I have ever seen explaining acrylics in simple English!” One thing you need to know about MaryJo is that she is a whiz with product and teaching. If she says this is a must have tutorial book, I have no reservations about trusting her.
The book is called Altered Surfaces: Using Acrylic Paints With Gels, Mediums, Grounds & Pastes by Chris Cozen. If you are anything like me you have probably noticed acrylics playing a larger and larger role in your creative process so what better than a book that focuses just on them? It seems like everything new I’ve learned in the last year has involved acrylics in one form or another and I’ve always been happy with the outcome. I can’t wait to open up this book and see what other tips and secrets are waiting for me.
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!
