The problem with sorting and cleaning in my studio is that I simply have too much stuff. Every time I make progress in one area I turn around and see another problem area waiting for me. This is today’s problem:

Several months ago I sorted through my scrap paper stash putting small pieces into a clear, letter size document box and larger pieces into another matching box. I have these two boxes sitting next to my work area and the system has been working well. I’ve gotten into the habit of reaching for the scrap boxes as part of my design phase and I’ve been slowly making a dent into their contents.

By now you must be wondering what that large box of paper is. Well, it’s all the scrap paper that didn’t fit into the two document boxes. It’s been shoved under the table and forgotten. All that is going to change… TODAY! I’ve popped my Ella Fitzgerald CD into the player and hit the repeat button. I’ve pulled out my paper cutter and formed a plan of attack. Any piece large enough will be cut to greeting card size. Anything smaller will be cut to ATC size. Anything smaller than an ATC is going into the trash. I have a feeling that I’m going to wind up with a lifetime supply of ATC blanks from this project.
