I was out in the back yard and saw a really big hummingbird in the Aloe patch. I rushed inside to get my camera (because I knew you aren’t getting tired of the nature posts yet and would want to see the hummingbird.) It was a really pretty hummingbird.

When I got back outside the hummingbird was still there but just as I raised the camera he flew away. I think he did it on purpose, waiting just long enough to taunt me.

All I got was a picture of a bee. I feel like a tourist that wears a t-shirt proclaiming, I went somewhere really fantastic and all I got was this dumb shirt!

So, the new rule is NEVER go anwhere, even to take out the trash, without your camera. The photos are all turning out great, and even though you weren’t intending on the bee, it’s a good bee! Thanks for showing us your unusual desert plants.

That is a great bee picture. Look how fat his little legs are.
I still wish I had gotten the hummingbird photo. I’ll keep trying.
