This is our Spanish Dagger. It has some winter damage and is ready for a springtime cleanup.

This little guy doesn’t agree with me.

I think he is a Sparrow.

He (she?) was gathering plant material and bringing it into the overgrown dead daggers to build a nest.

You know, I was thinking that this Christmas I needed to ask Santa for a better telephoto lens but now I’m not too sure about that. I was quite a distance from the Spanish Dagger and I think these photos are pretty good, don’t you?

I think we will wait a little while before trimming this plant.
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!

I’m pretty happy with this camera. It kind of disappoints me that it won’t fit in my purse and I actually have to change lenses to do anything telephoto but other than that I love it. Maybe I’ll actually have to learn a few things about taking pictures now.

Terrific photos. I have got to make myself buy my new camera. I’ve been saving and I just can’t make myself spend the money. Go figure.

I’ve been enjoying all of the great nature photos, Chia. I love nature & it has been fun to see what is in your backyard. So different from mine.

I’m so glad to hear that people are enjoying these photos. I’ve loved taking them. I just wish I had a bigger yard with more things happening in it.
