This ATC was made using is another technique from Artist Trading Card Workshop by Bernie Berlin. It’s actually more of a clever suggestion than a technique. Bernie suggests that you begin your background with a page torn from an old phone nook. Of course she goes on to give you a little more direction about coloring but for me the phone book was the key lesson. I don’t think it is just about phone book pages either, I think it is about looking around your space and seeing what other paper items you have that can be re purposed as art. Looking around I found some half torn up magazines and some images left over from other ATC projects. Add some colorful glazes to the mix and was ready to play.
