Recliner Man had a nice relaxing Father’s Day.
Our daughter called to talk with him and one of the things she told him is that I seem to be turning into an “old lady”. She has been watching my blog and she feels that I am spending too much time watching birds and posting their pictures.
I can’t quite figure out how she would come up with such an idea. Getting old and too many bird pictures? Nah.
It’s just that I haven’t been doing much but sticking around home. With gas prices so high I am becoming more of a homebody. As long as I am home I may as well keep Abbey happy by giving her a little patio time and as long as I am out there I may as well make use of my fancy new camera. And as long as I’m doing all that and have nothing else to share, I may as well share the bird photos with you. I’m not old, I’m just practical.
Hopefully my next post will be different. I’ve started working on some mermaid ATCs so hopefully I’ll have something finished soon.

I just love the bird pictures! I too have lots of birds! Many Redbirds and Bluebirds! Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures and please don’t listen to you daughter. HA! Keep up the good work……I am putting you in my favorites to come back and look some more.

Ha, my daughter says the same thing too! Did it ever occur to them that birds are just so relaxing…compared to……… uh …….raising kids! Great pictures Chia. I’ll have to hang out and watch how you get these great shots!

Hey, what does she know! I miss being in a bird friendly environment with my camera. I’m enjoying them, you must have a lot of patience or a really good hiding place to get some of these.

Wendy forwarded me your website address… Thanks, Wendy…. I think you are doing something pretty special. It’s hard to get good bird shots, even with a good lens. What kind of bird was the last one? Would be nice if you’d identify the ones you shoot, as some of us don’t know them all.
I’m busy trying to lure birds to my yard and feeders, keeping the squirel at bay that has been destroying my feeders, and getting my plants to get going again… I only took parts of mine, to try to start over with. That was a whole month ago.. But I really like Texas… Keep up your bird shots… Hallmark should take note, and let you make some cards…
