If you are a frequent visitor to this blog you know I am a big fan of Artist Trading Card Workshop by Bernie Berlin. I have gotten more from this book than any other book that I own, and I own a lot of books.

I have had a lot of fun working through the book. I’ve been learning new things and finding inspiration with every technique. And I’m not even half way through the book yet!

The latest technique that I tried was a resist technique. It was your basic clear embossing resist but Bernie uses acrylic paints with it.

The paints give a great weathered feel and depth to the piece that inks just can’t match. I really love how much Bernie uses paints in the book. I have a box full of left overs from my handcraft days back in the 80s and I’m really happy to be finding new uses for them.
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!

These are gorgeous Chia! Love the colors and the technique. I need to get my craft room in order to try some techniques from Bernie’s book-it is a good one.
