It was the first morning in a week that I didn’t have to be up early for anything. I set my alarm for 9:00 and planned to enjoy sleeping in… if Abbey would let me. It turns out that it wasn’t the cat I needed to be worried about, it was The Boy. My phone rang at 7:10 am, “Mom, I just called to tell you I am looking at the most awesome sunrise I have ever seen!”
Thanks Boy, you make a good alarm clock. Since I was awake I decided to go out and see if I could view any of this wonder. The problem with living in a sprawling city is that most of our views are blocked by houses, walls and backyard trees. To get a really good view you need to get out on the road. All of our main roads are laid out on a north/south – east/west grid. They are all fairly wide (5 – 7 lanes) and as straight as arrows, so you can get some very good views of the sunrises and sunsets.
I didn’t see much of the sunrise but I see something else wonderful in this photo. The Clementines are ready to be picked!
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!
