I’m sure you remember Mr. Bull. When we last saw him I was telling you that I wasn’t really sure where I was going with him, or if I had arrived there. That thought stayed in my mind over the weekend and I was still pondering it when Mr. Bull decided to speak to me on Mother’s Day. He said, “Mooooooooo” and I said, “I know just what you mean!”
For those of you who don’t talk bull, let me translate. Mr. Bull told me he just wasn’t feeling quite right with all those bright colors. In fact, he told me he was feeling a bit clownish. I told him I thought that was a bit of an exaggeration but I could see his point. We decided that a makeover was needed and started to bounce around a few ideas.
“Remember when you told Mike how much you like Steampunk and that he should do something like that to his bull?” (You all know how much I pride myself on telling others what to do, right?) “Well, I think you should do something like that to me!”
Hmmm…. was Mr. Bull crazy, or was he on to something. I do love the Steampunk look but I’ve never attempted to make anything in that style. Maybe it was time to try it. The Boy was here and joined into our conversation. Before we knew it a plan was hatched and a new name for Mr. Bull had been selected.

The first thing that had to happen was a new paint job.

And then I set to work on my Steampunk inspired plan. I think it is best that we call him a Steampunk INSPIRED bull, rather than a Steampunk bull. That way any shortcomings in my execution of the style won’t seem like mistakes, OK?

See that? A brass buckle is VERY Steampunk. I’m on a roll now!

At this point I’m not sure if it is all starting to come together of if I’ve gone horribly astray. Either way there was no turning back. I’d spent the better part of the week with my hands covered in alcohol inks and paint, well, the part that I didn’t spend playing Mafia Wars was spent with ink and paint, and I wasn’t going to start all over again. Besides, I kind of like it.
So now, I present to you the Steampunk INSPIRED bull, “Cloud Grazer”

UPDATE: The Boy was quick to point out that I didn’t include any photos showing the saddle. So, here you go:

Peace reigns again! Now, does the halter/wings become removeable, so he doesn’t have to wear them all the time? I think he loves his new look, but hates feeling like he could fly away at a moments notice! Maybe give him a tree to run under and hang them up now and then?
Big improvement Chia!
