By now, readers of this blog know that when one of my kids has a birthday I feel a deep obligation to share photos from their childhood with the world. Sometimes those photos are mildly embarrassing but I won’t let that deter me from my duty as a loving mother and blog writer. I just could not live with myself knowing that I had let any of you down.

My darling daughter had a birthday on Sunday. Today she called me and asked where her picture post was. Sorry Honey, I hope it was worth the wait.
This picture was taken when she was 11 years old. She had a neighborhood friend whose mom worked hard to have the biggest and best birthday parties, and on this day they took a car load of young girls to the mall for Glamor Shots.

I’ve talked before about how close she has always been to her brother. They spent a lot of time playing together. They rode bikes, played in the yard, played dress up….. Oh yes, the dress up games. You all remember how she helped her brother dress up with balloons and a wig, don’t you? Well…. he wasn’t the only one to get dressed up that day…..

Happy Birthday Dear Sweet Daughter! I hope you have a year filled with love and happiness.
I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!

Thanks for the memories…. I sure do remember the fun they had with that tunnel. And the giggles over the beauty treatments!

Gee, thanks mom. I didn’t remember that I dressed up, too, but I do remember that tunnel. We loved that thing.
