The Boy and I were out with the Real Estate agent again today and saw several houses. Are you ready for the tour?
This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house with possibilities. We liked the way that you entered it though a courtyard.

The courtyard was shaded and secluded, and felt very much like it would make a lovely outdoor room. We both liked that, but what really got The Boy excited was the kitchen.

It was love at first sight when he saw the corner windows. Not so much so when we saw the dirty carpets.

They could probably be cleaned and over all the home had a large flowing feeling to it, with lots of light. It also had a good sized back yard and a low HOA fee. Maybe it has a little something more… do you see a face in this bedroom window?

After the Courtyard House we went to a small patio home. I don’t have pictures to show you because the owner was still living in it. It was very well priced and well kept. It had a large patio area that extended along one side of the home and across the back. Inside there were 2 bedrooms and 2 baths along with a fireplaced living room, dining area and kitchen. The garage was on the small side.
Next up was a HUD house.

This house had a lot of potential and it looked like the previous owners had started working on it. There was very nice tile on the floors.

Itwas a little larger than the other homes and had a nice layout.

The kitchen was a bit dated but was clean and in working order. Unfortunately it looked like the previous fixer uppers had run out of steam or money and there was still a lot of work to do. Like this:

It looked like the roof top AC had failed and caused some damage. Not all of it had been repaired. This house could be a gem but it would take a lot of work.

Doesn’t this cute little brown one look lovely? Not so much on the inside:

Every wall in every room was like this. It also had a funky series of add on spaces. Maybe the next one will be better.

Things are looking good here. There were great wood floors in the living room and master bedroom. They had put a good tile in the kitchen area. Overall it looked like they were going for a Southwest feel, and they were doing good… till they hit the kitchen.

This looks kind of rough. However, it redeemed itself with the backyard pool.

And then there was the Devil Dog House. It started out ok…

But then we started to see the damage.

The dog had chewed through all the baseboards, door frames and doors. It even chewed right through the fire door leading out to the garage.

It’s a shame too because this could have been a very nice home. The wood floor and fireplace were nice.
And then we had the Orange House.

This was a nice little 3 bedroom place. Did you know that The Boy loves the color orange?

The problem with this house is that it was getting kind of far off the beaten path.
By the end of the day The Boy had picked a clear favorite and put in an offer. Please cross your fingers and wish him luck. While you are at it, guess which house he picked.

CeCe, I’m not saying yet. I will say that there were houses on both days that he thought about making an offer on and said he would be happy to have. I won’t keep you hanging too long, just want to give people a chance to guess.
He really needs the fingers and toes crossed. Many of the homes in this range have multiple offers over asking price and are going fast.
