I love collecting images during my travels around the internet. So much so that I get a little carried away with it and my jump drive is bursting at the seams. For a while now I’ve been doing a lot more collecting than using and I’ve been thinking that it is time to do something about that. I’ve also had a blank chipboard book sitting on the work table ‘for a while now’ and it seemed to me that this was a golden opportunity to knock two things off my to-do list at once.
I’ve been admiring a lot of hand made artist journals online and I’m taking my inspiration from several different sources for this. My plan is to decorate an entire book with some of my collection of images and when it is done start filling in the blank spaces with journaling. This decorating phase has been a lot of fun for me because I really enjoy cutting out the images and matching them to patterned papers. There is not a lot of technique involved to slow things down. I don’t have all the pages done yet but since it has been so long since I posted anything arty I thought I’d give you a peek at the work in progress. Every now and then I go back and add an image to a finished page, and I haven’t ruled out adding extra embellishments as I progress. For now though, I am happy with the way things look.

I'm Chia Wald and this is my blog. Here is where I share my thoughts and my art. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. That's life... and that's me.
Stumble it!
