Thanks for the comments, guys. Jo, yes, the swelling has gone down quite a bit. Size and shape wise, the left thumb looks fairly normal. It was the least injured and the one I was able to free without having to open the ladder a bit. The right thumb is quite a bit smaller but still pretty misshapen. Who knows, maybe it will always be. Only time will tell. So far the nails haven't fallen off so maybe they will stay. I see the doc this Friday for more x-rays to makes sure things are healing well and I'm not expecting him to be disappointed.

I am so glad you are getting better! And thank goodness for that colored tape. Buck is currently sporting camouflage green. Funny though, it's not hiding anything!

Glad to hear you are getting along nicely.
Seems to me some enterprising crafter out there should come up with a solution for cutting without thumbs!
Hey, if you want to give Hybrid a try or Digital embellishing-I do recommend Jessica Sprague.com. Her one free video I took was absolutely the best, thus far. The others I have used left me feeling like I was " all thumbs" at times. Smile. You can download a free trial of Photoshop Elements.
Love the illustration on your blog today.
