This technique was developed by the Magenta Rubber Stamp Company.
1. Randomly stamp your image with white pigment ink on a light colored paper or card stock. Heat set or allow the ink to dry completely. (About 5 minutes)|
2. Using the “Direct To Paper” technique, apply a darker color of pigment ink over the entire piece.
3. As soon as you are done applying the pigment ink use a paper towel to buff off the excess ink. This will reveal the stamped images in a lighter shade of the pigment ink.
4. You can add additional depth to the piece by stamping the same image as used in step 1 over the piece with a coordinating ink color.
Hint: You can create new colors by starting with a colored card stock.
